Research Projects

The Graduate School consists of two programmes, based on the interdisciplinary research environment of the University of Lübeck. The first programme addresses Computational Methods in Clinical Medicine whereas the second programme focuses on Computational Methods in Life Sciences. The programmes are independent and have distinct basic curricula for doctoral students. Each of the two programmes has set up a thematic research area called branch. New branches will be added to the school at later stages.

The first branch addresses computational methods in Neurotechnology, Navigation and Robotics. This branch is carried by five institutes from computer science and six institutes of the medical faculty.

The second branch, Computing in Structural and Cell Biology, is carried by six institutes from computer science, two institutes of the medical faculty, and four institutes of the university's life sciences division.
